Fantasia Top Tips

  1. Fantasia Fans run from standard lighting wire (two core & earth) when operated by pull cord, single wall control or remote control.  If you wish to install a double wall control then three core and earth wiring is required.
  2. All ceiling fans require clearance around the blades in order to allow effective airflow.  Always ensure the blade tips are at least 8in/200mm from any obstruction such as a sloping roof or beam.
  3. When choosing the size of your fan, it is a good idea to try to accomodate the largest blade span possible in the room.  Running a larger fan on a lower speed is not only more relaxing but is more efficient too, as the lower speeds achieve higher levels of air movement per watt.
  4. Drop rods are available in a variety of lengths from 12in (300mm) to 72in (1830mm) so a Fantasia Fan can be fitted to a ceiling of any height.  If a fan is flush mount as standard then conversion kit is required to fit a drop rod.  Some fans are dual mount - see the technical information on each fan page for more details.
  5. Fantasia Fan motors are maintenance free.  The motors are of silicone steel construction with double sealed bearings and all metal surfaces are powder coated or plated and lacquered to give a permanent seal and prevent tarnishing.
